The Spring of Things.

Good Morning Lovers!
Today is going to be fabulous. Just because. And because today is, you guessed it, THURSDAY. My favorite day of the week. Erik's not so favorite. He so much despises Grey's Anatomy that he now refuses to call it Grey's Anatomy every week it's a new form of Grey's Papapomy. Or Grey's Schlatomy. Or Stupid. I'm very okay w/ that. (: I hope you choose to have a fabulous day.

I always use to really believe things like "You can change the way you think, but you can't change the way you feel." Which I still believe to an extent, but in growing up I've learned so much that life really is about the choices we make. The way we feel is the product of our decisions. In every day in every situation we're faced w/ choices. Sometimes the right way is very clear, other times not so clear at all. Deuteronomy chapter 30, verses 11 until the end of the chapter are all about this. I don't know what is says in your bible, in mine this section is titled Exhortation to Choose Life. As I was typing that out for you I realized I had no idea what exhortation meant so I looked it up, basically it means advice to choose life but too important and urgent to just use the word advice. Reccomendations or warnings. Powerful. No matter what it's titled in your bible, or even if it isn't, the words from verses 11 on are going to tell you the same thing my bible tells me. It starts out by explaining that what you're being commanded isn't too hard, or too far away. It's not in heaven, neither is it beyond the sea. It's right here for you. And goes on to say this life is full of choices. Choices or blessings and curses, life or death. Verse 19 says "I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life.." I hope this helps you in all times you have decisions, to choose to be a blessing. To choose life.

I don't know where that came from. I had no intentions of typing any of that into today's blog, but maybe it was what you needed to hear today. Sometimes I check out the odb.org (Our Daily Bread Daily Devotionals). I'm not oOober religious about the site by any means. I'm sure there are loads of great devotional sites out there but everyonce in awhile I check in there and see what they have to say. This morning I read there's long story short (they actually aren't long stories at all, they're really quick if you want to check out what I read this morning find April 28ths at http://odb.org/) today's was basically about how people that love God have a hard time loving people that don't. Dear Christians, that's rubbish. Seriously. If you think that just because you love Jesus it makes you more worthy of being loved than someone who doesn't, you couldn't be more wrong. Either way. KJ-52 is a singer who a lot of people think has a look/sound like Eminem. He's a Christian singer and after getting told 8.4 million times that he looked/sounded like Eminem he wrote a song to Eminem called Dear Slim, kind of a play off of the song Stan by Eminem. Just kind of asking if it's worth it to gain fans if it means losing your soul. And how he always hated the way people would say they sounded alike until after a concert a kid came up to him to say that he used to listen to Eminem but found KJ and threw out his old cd's to follow what KJ was singing about. He just wanted to say, Eminem if you don't know Jesus loves you. If you haven't heard it you should probably check out. Later he wrote another called Dear Slim Part Two. My favorite part is where he says, "A lot of Christians, all they do is hate on you, instead of dropping to their knees to take time to pray for you." Isn't that so true? It's so easy for us to hate on people. I know it's so easy to do. We all do it. Have negative feelings when we see something that we don't agree w/ or don't understand. Does that make us above it? Love, friends. Back to it, today as I read through odb's devotion I thought of this song and how it's so easy to hate the haters of Jesus when obviously they're so much in need of our love, acceptance and prayers. The end.

News. Tomorrow when my new phone gets here I'm pretty possitive it will be my 5th? new phone since Thanksgiving! I was on Verizon w/ a slider phone when the slider broke, I needed a new phone so I switch phone carriers to Sprint and got a new phone. When the phone came it quit working, I couldn't use a lot of programs on my phone, I took it into a store and it wouldn't work for them so they sent me a new one. The next one had a few bumps but worked find until I dropped it..literally like a foot and a half and it completely demolished the phone. Awesome. My next phone came, phone number 3 and..wouldn't work! It would randomly turn on and off all of the time until finally it just wouldn't turn off any more. Phone number two I did break, but the 1 and 3 were new phones that I just recieved and wouldn't work. Next long story short Spring quit offering service in MT and WY so we had to switch back to Verizon. Erik and I decided to go w/ the basic, I can text and make phone calls, phone. No internet. Nothing special. We got the rugged versions, the one's you can get wet, mine can go under water for 30 minutes, you can run them over w/ a car and they're supposed to work. I've had mine a whopping 11 days and you guessed it. ITQUITWORKING. The screen quit lighting up so if you hold it just right in the sun you can see that my phone is on but it's too dark for me to use and all of my speakers went out so it won't ring and I can't hear in phone calls. Needless to say, phone number 5 is in the mail. I have a friend who's husband has phone issues, his phone will shut on and off all of the time, just in his pocket. He was a watch wearer and he had the same issues w/ his watch, not working. He took it into a watch shop to get fixed (okay, probably a jewelry store) and the guy changed the battery and sent it home. Same thing happened again and the guy fixing it had set it aside for a bit before he got to look at it and it started working again. The watch man explained to my friends husband that our bodies emit energies and that more than likely it was the energy from him that was causing the watch to stop and explained it could cause other issues, hence the cell phone. I'm pretty sure that's my issue. That's atleast my guess at the situation. Hopefully phone 5 shows up on Friday prepared for me. ;)

I was going to fill you in on our new place this morning but I spent so much time on other things I have to get up for work. Today I'm a middle school social studies teacher. (: Ha, awesome! More on the new place later. (:

A quick shout out to our friend Dessa, a big congrats on her engagement! Matt we look forward to recieving your background check and blood sample in the mail for our examination. ;)

LOVEYOUALL.
Choose to have the best Thursday.
